Dear Visitor,

When I entered this world in 1944, drawing by Good Fortune my first breath in Minneapolis, legend has it that my first spoken words were, "So, what's to see around here?"

Hence began a lifetime of exploring every fascinating detail of the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. I drove taxi while a student at the University of Minnesota in Yellow Checker taxi pictured below. I spent years driving a city bus and chauffeuring citizens to and fro in limousines. These experiences brought me into each and every neighborhood in the area. I observed and took notes on local architecture, history, museums and culture, flora and fauna with a Lewis and Clark enthusiasm for discovery. I attended lectures, took local tours, joined the Minnesota Historical Society, and read books like a librarian.

I had other interesting jobs as well: Peace Corps Volunteer, radio announcer, writer, started an art gallery, and had a small market research company before returning to my bliss by starting Twin Cities Tours in 1996.

The Twin Cities Tours mission is to provide you the visitor with the same high quality tour I myself sought elsewhere in my own travels. For, eschewing the "30 strangers and a mike" bus tours, I always sought to find a salty old taxi driver, who intimately knew the area, who could discern my interests, then chauffeur me around accordingly in a pleasant manner and ideally without crashing into things.

Whatever your preference: natural scenery; gorgeous neighborhoods, homes and mansions; architecture; history; real estate; shopping; or even child-centric, if you have youngsters along; each tour is adjusted the tour to your interests. For local corporations, we show potential new employees all that there is to love about the area and where they might like to live. For the locals who think they've already seen it all, we show them a surprise or two or three with our Hidden Treasures Tour.
